Chobits Review
Intro
Hidaki Motosuwa is a simple country kid who was planning to go to college that is…until he got rejected!! Determined not to give up Hidaki decides to go to Tokyo so he can go to prep school, so he can try again next year. However, when Hidaki gets to Tokyo, being from the country is completely overwhelmed by the huge wave of technology, including persocoms. What are persocoms you ask? Well they basically are walking, talking computers that look exactly like humans. Hidaki accepts the fact that he could never possibly afford to have a persocom for himself that is until he finds one in the trash…
Storyline Rating: 8.9
The Chobits storyline is very different from any anime I’ve seen before. It’s echii but a kinda cute echii. I know it’s sort of an oxymoron, but I really don’t know how else to describe it. Each episode was creative and original and the story never got old. However, some questions are never truly answered in the anime. To get the full 411 I suggest reading the original manga.
Characters Rating: 8.8
What I found to be interesting was that I found that the characters were a lot more likable in the anime than in the manga, especially Hideki. The cast of characters only add to Chobits’ charm.

One word should explain this area perfectly, CLAMP.

All in all Chobits is a very different series from what CLAMP usually does, but yet still has that same CLAMP charm.
Warnings
There’s nudity, but all the inappropriate parts are always covered. They sometimes put their hand around the virginal area of a girl, especially in the first episode. They also have close up of girl’s breasts and references to how soft they are, ect. The main character reads hentai. Some of the persocoms wear very revealing outfits. There’s one episode where Hidaki’s persocom, Chi finds work in a peep show. There are also some references that Hidaki is a virgin. There are some unusual couples such as teacher and student. There’s alcohol usage. They cuss. The dub cusses A LOT less than the original.
